One of the disruptors mentioned in the Top Potential Construction Contract Administration Disruptors is about post-pandemic site access. During the pandemic, if your construction project was deemed essential or otherwise was able to continue with construction, some A/E site visits may have looked a bit different. If you were not able to go in person, some utilized virtual options which could have been as simple as a video call "walking" the site with the contractor or something more sophisticated. Although many A/E firms may have already been utilizing virtual tools for site visits or working through a site issue, I think the pandemic brought the technology forward for more people. I would love to hear other's thoughts on what they experienced, how you adapted, and what you have carried forward.

Did you have success working through field issues?

How were you able to capture/identify deficiencies?

What processes or technologies have you carried forward and are continuing today?

Do you have clients requesting less in-person visits knowing now there are more virtual options and thus asking for reduced fees? Or conversely, were you/are you already proposing virtual options for cost-savings or other reasons, like for long distance projects?
