Hardware and Software Costs as a Percentage of General Office Expenses

I am putting together some data analytics for the Principals of my firm, and one of the data points is "hardware and software costs as a percentage of general office expenses". I understand that everyone may measure and classify these things differently, but I am very curious where everyone else sits. In both pandemic years, we're at about 30%. Previously, we'd be between 12-15%. Obviously, there are a lot of contributing factors to why this might be, but I'm more interested in your ballpark figures, for curiosity's sake. Cheers, all!

We are a 65 person firm, we have capped it not to exceed 5%. But as you rightly said we prefer to monitor Hardware & Software separately. Software are yearly figures and easy to monitor. But Hardware are capital purchases and are significantly different to monitor.
