  • 1.  Exterior Stone Tread Detail

    Does anyone know where I can find a detail and spec for replacing  exterior deteriorated stone treads and risers? Any recommendations for the North East US subject to salt in the winter?

    I do not know of a particular detail but in the past I have done 2 inch stone on a bed with snow melt to avoid the salt. I did that 30 years ago and the steps are still going strong. You have to detail it so so the treads can be lifted to replace the snow melt if ever needed
