    Can we Design a Desirable Future? 

    You don't have to go with the grain. People are much freer than they imagine. They will find much more latitude if they just use it.

    An attractive future versus fear

    Some fear the future, some set hope into it and a few is trying to shape the future. Unfortunately, currently fear and frustration are growing while the number of the hopeful is shrinking, for a plausible and credible path towards a better future is not visible to them. This puts a lot of responsibility on those who make a living in shaping the future, because fear, anger and frustration create just another threat for a viable future.

    This is a very good question as what we design is yet to be made. But that is about designing something.  The response is also very good. What will be desirable? Also Consider this:  do we lead or are we to be led? And with respect to context, conditions of place and time, how do we best adapt?  Can we design for adaptability? 

    Design the future itself, can anything control the happening of the future? Anyone? Society? Architects? Contribute? Probably all will do that.
