    Hi Edgar,

    I have been involved with a small group of citizens to campaign for the city and have created a website to promote the idea of: 

    CAR-FREE BROADWAY 

    We are proposing the creation of a green, car-free space from Union Square to Central Park.
    The Broadway Linear Park will transform the avenue into a new destination, integrating nature, art, design, and people in a unique way, inspiring New Yorkers and visitors.  Let's give New York City a great new attraction, flowing right through the heart of Manhattan.

    BROADWAY IN FIVE ACTS 

    Each of the five nodes of Broadway becomes an "act" for the BLiP's progression through Midtown. Walking along Broadway today from Union Square to Columbus Circle, one experiences the different urban environments around them as they traverse the city. You can see some of our preliminary ideas in the website.

    I am sharing with you the link to our website and the survey. Please take the survey and share your feedback and your comments.    

    Our team gave a preliminary Zoom presentation to the Manhattan CB5 Transport Committee last fall. We were very pleased to receive a very encouraging response from the committee and the public attendees. We have also met with the Borough President Mark Levine's Office and have been offered help facilitating meetings with the BIDs. Since then, we have prepared a survey and are currently soliciting public opinion and ideas.
