APT will be holding a webinar next Thursday on Building Codes which would likely be of interest to many. The program coincides with a a soon-to-be-released APT publication on the applications, challenges, and opportunities with building codes and existing buildings, and in detail explains the advantages of the Performance Compliance Method which can often allow projects to go forward where other code strategies do not.
The webinar will discuss the Performance Compliance Method, potential changes to the 2027 International Existing Building Code, the model code adopted by jurisdictions, and opportunities for the preservation community to become involved in improving codes and their application to historic buildings.
The online program is to be held Thursday, December 4, 1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. ET and offers 1.5 LU/HSW/PDH CEUs through AIA, RCEP, and ICC
