APT, the Association for Preservation Technology International, (APTI) is offering a unique, educational travel opportunity to Italy this coming September. Organized by our Italian partner Assorestauro, this will be the third time APT takes members to unique, behind the scenes tours of ongoing, active preservation and restoration projects. Meet with and discuss methods, techniques, and challenges with teams on the ground in Italy - architects, engineers, craftspeople, etc. while earning AIA continuing education credits. Those attending past trips call it a life-changing experience, with past groups climbing scaffolding, examining the structure of cathedral attics, and seeing hands on unique European techniques. APTI or APT Chapter membership is required, but easily available to anyone with no professional prerequisites. Register by July 14!
