The HRC is excited to welcome the forthcoming new book by noted architect and friend of the Committee, Carl Elefante, FAIA!

Scheduled to be published on April 24th by Island Press, Carl's book is titled: Going for Zero: Decarbonizing the Built Environment on the Path to Our Urban Future.

As the title indicates, it addresses responding to climate change in buildings and cities. But rather than another book on an increasingly familiar topic, it presents a viewpoint informed by Carl's professional experience as a "building recycler" as well as framing climate change in context with the three global trends shaping the 21st century: the climate, justice, and urban imperatives. Responding to climate change offers our profession, and the countless others who shape the built environment, a relevance revolution with unprecedented opportunities to reform, reconnect and heal the places and spaces we inhabit.
