    The Academy of Architecture for Justice, will award up to two (2) Scholarships to the AAJ Fall Conference 2026 to qualified NextGen Professionals(defined as entry-level professionals, architects, architectural associates or planners with less than 10 years' experience working in the justice architecture sector.) Scholarship recipients will receive complimentary conference registration and reimbursement up to $1,000 for travel and lodging.

    Good afternoon, Lisa –

     

    I know the date for the AAJ conference NextGen scholarship application has passed, so I'm personally reaching out to see if there's a possibility the committee can accept one more entry. Amna Khan (contact information below) works for the NYC Department of Design and Construction on the Borough Based Jails Program and is one of those really bright, really committed, early-in-her-career professionals that represents an exciting future for our profession. If there is still time to add her to the candidates pool, my colleagues and I on the NYC BBJ Program would really appreciate it.
