Join the AIA International Global Mentorship Program. Registration is now open.

This programme connects you with architects and designers across regions. It builds on local mentorship by offering a global perspective on practice, culture, and career pathways. You gain direct insight into how teams operate in different markets and how projects respond to varied contexts.

This is suited to you if you want to build an international network, explore practice abroad, or are planning to move and work in another country.
It gives you first-hand insight into different design cultures and delivery models.

We welcome both mentors and mentees. We are particularly seeking mentors who want to support early career professionals and contribute to their development.

The 2026 theme is Design by Discovery. The programme focuses on testing ideas, challenging norms, and sharing processes that push practice forward. It highlights experimentation, reuse, and new spatial approaches.

You can expect one-to-one mentoring across borders, alongside regular online group sessions that are open to all participants. The programme creates space to exchange skills, methods, and career insights.

The programme starts on 24 April, with registration closing on 1 June.

    Register here: 2026 Application Form

The programme is open to all.

    Hello,

Thank you for posting the registration information for AIA International Region Mentoring Program 2026.

We are still looking for mentors for the pairings for 0-4 years of professional practice group.

Mentors and mentees are encouraged to set their own goals and schedule for meetings.

We have found that these pairing can lead to long lasting collaborations and exchange which greatly benefit both the mentors and mentees.
If you would like to join the program as a mentor or would like to promote an emerging professional as mentee, registration is open and easy to do using the information provided in the previous email.

Emerging professionals are the future of our profession — thank you for your support.

    Sincerely,

    Bari Wetmore Salathe, AIA
Member of the AIA IR Global Mentoring Program Planning Team
