During my previous Client Manager Consultant role with major oil company at a confidential project site in Houston (2007), we designed a roof system replacement program for
a 1980's critical infrastructure 2-story Building that included code upgrades to the structural steel support roof system and a new roof system with a moisture redundant system. The moisture redundant system included the design of a temporary roof system with drainage and a temporary support system located below the existing roof system framed structure and above the second floor level occupied building space to allow non-interrupted building services within the subject Building. MEP services and fire sprinkler system components located in the floor/attic area above were designed for extension into the 2nd floor level.
Shortly after the roof system building design, we opened Chamblee + Associates, LLC, a speciality architectural firm in Houston, specializing in peer review, forensic architecture and building science consulting services, and we were unable to follow the designed project into construction.
