| RECOGNIZING OWNER EXCELLENCE | | The Project Leadership Award is an annual awards program that recognizes Owners' excellence in project delivery. The Project Leadership Award program promotes leadership, professionalism and management excellence of Owners involved in the Construction process. | |
CRITERIA Projects nominated for the Project Leadership Award must have been substantially completed (available for occupancy) between the period January, 1, 2011 and the nomination deadline of July 31, 2012. Nominated projects will be reviewed by the Awards Committee which will select projects demonstrating excellence in the following areas: Overall Project Management, Overall Project Success, Scheduling, Cost Management, Quality Management, Project Complexity, Conservation and Sustainability, and Team Effort. | | ELIGIBILITY The award is given to the Owner who achieves excellence by demonstrating exceptional leadership and project management skills, including: visioning, integrity, team building, communication, fairness, problem resolution, decision making, plan implementation, collaboration etc. The program is open to all types of construction projects, e.g. healthcare facilities, government buildings, manufacturing plants, educational and research facilities, etc. Renovation and new construction projects, large or small, are eligible for the award. Project size and cost will not be contributing or deciding factors. | | | SUBMISSION MATERIALS Mail six (6) copies and email one copy of each submission, along with one DVD/CD with photographs by July 31, 2012. | | | AWARD SCHEDULE Winners will be notified by September 30, 2012 and the awards ceremony will occur during the COAA Fall Owners Leadership Conference to be held in Orlando, FL - October 31 - November 2, 2012. | | |
