  • 1.  cad platforms for the mac

    If anyone has a positive recommendation for a 2D drafting platform for the Mac I'd appreciate hearing about it.  Preferably something cheaper than Autocad LT  ($1200).  I don't need 3D capability, I'm using Sketchup for that.

    Can't find the post  on one of the KNOWLEDGE Net boards to refer you to but go to this link -

    Dassault Systemes ( Catia and Solid Works) is offering Draftsight for free to individual users and its ported to the MAC OSX platform.

    A coworker put it thru its paces and liked it. 

    For me -non cad person it looks very familiar if you used ACAD.
    Dassault just built a headquarters nearby on the 128 loop in Waltham - Almost directly actress from AUTODESK

    Can't beat free.
