As a Senior Project Architect, my firm did not want me to draw and so did not want to invest the money in Revit training for me. While I was charged with reviewing documentation, I was careful to only review the Revit model in a detached state. Needless to say, the lack of my Revit skills had an impact on my relationship with the younger staff since I didn't have a full comprehension of the work flow environment. I recently left this firm to take charge of my career and invested in Revit training for myself. It was a four day introductory course (I took Revit Interiors) and I can't think of a better investment to have made. The program is indeed powerful, but it really is fun (as I had heard). I also realize that there will be some bugs to face, as the program is still evolving. I recommend finding a class as soon as possible and learn how to play again.
