Commitment-Based Project Delivery: Team Development Process
Effective New Strategies for Building Team Cohesion

To improve outcomes, team performance must be designed into the project delivery process. This presentation will focus on whole-team alignment strategies which maximize success factors including cost, quality and schedule. We will illustrate the process needed to build a cohesive, commitment-based team, measure its performance, and motivate it to succeed.

    Learning Objectives

    1. Formulate strategies to position the architect as the team leader by applying architect-driven collaboration techniques to improve outcomes for your client, and provide safer, more satisfying environments for the public.
    2. Formulate a project’s core purpose, derived from the owner’s objectives, and use this to trigger commitment-based teamwork between all participants.
    3. Create a meaningful project mission statement built around specific key success factors to sustain team cohesion from concept to ribbon-cutting
    4. Develop balanced, objective and detailed performance measures appropriate to each phase of design and construction, and use them to drive team members toward superior results.
