I believe that others have posted articles on the potential demolition of the David and Gladys Wright house, FLW's son. FLW designed the house for him and the developer who currently owns it wants it torn down. I don't know if this will help or not, but I found an online petition today that you can add your name to. They are 4,000 signatures short. If you're interested, here is the link.

This wont make many new friends here...but here goes...

I saw this on TV this morning. Perhaps the seller (relative of FLW) should have protected it over her decades of ownership. NO, she sold it with absolutely no strings attached (because she wanted the maximum profit) and now the developer should take the hit because we are signing signatures to make it a historic monument? The outrage is directed at the wrong party and the moral solution is to find monies to buy it rather than imposing a devastating burden on the buyer.

The article states " In the meantime the Conservancy is also in discussions with potential buyers.'

That's all this should be about. Either the house is worth saving to one, or enough people, or it isn't. Set up a website and accept donations.

    Peace.

David - I don't disagree with you. Not living in Phoenix, all I can learn of it is what people are writing. And we all know that people will write only what they want you to know! Sounds like the article you saw on tv is slightly different than what I've read - which I'm not surprised about. My guess is that if we combined them, it'd still be only about 10% of the whole story. Here's what I read on it, this was published a couple of days ago.
