I have talked with this Man who has a problem with his parents property that he would like to sell. It appears to be an interesting reproduction (he says reconstruction but I am not sure that is the correct term) he had an article from House and Garden 1954 on the house where it was featured.
After talking to the many very smart architects at the CRAN symposium in Newport this weekend, I thought someone might have a way to assist this client. I told him I was not able to help him but would post his concern to CRAN to see if someone might have some ideas for him.

Hi Roger:
Thank you for your reply to my post. My parents property and home in Harrison need to be sold. Although my siblings and I love it (we all grew up there) none can afford to keep and maintain it. We realize when sold, the buyer is unlikely to appreciate the fact the home is a reconstruction and will demolish the house and build a McMansion. I have been tasked with exploring options such as selling the house to be sectioned and relocated elsewhere or selling the components. Given the current economy, it seems unlikely that an upgrade in keeping with the 1760 period would be a good investment.
I have had a few responses to my post and would like to connect with interested firms who can propose ideas for consideration. Of course we expect to compensate a firm with whom we ultimately work.
I have attached a 1954 House & Garden article about the house. Any help or ideas you have would be most welcome and appreciated.
