Has your firm had success using Pinterest? Either to bump web traffic or create buzz around a new project?

I've read studies that claim it's one of the largest traffic referral engines. I can absolutely see how it can benefit purveyors of, say, crocheted owl patterns or "man-pleasing" pot roast recipes, but I'd love to see how real live architects are using--or not using--the site.

Is it part of your social media strategy or one more time-waster? Never heard of it or addicted already?

For reference, here's the AIA pinboard: http://pinterest.com/aianational/

We started a few months ago: http://pinterest.com/dnmarchitect/.
It's fun and easy, and it has generated a few followers, clicks to my website and re-pins, but I cannot honestly say it has produced an actual lead or new business.

I visited your Pinterest page and noticed you haven't "liked" other people's pinned images. You might get more traffic and interaction if you "like" and comment on images on other boards (rather than just repinning). Just an observation... I'm still exploring Pinterest and have not fully integrated it yet into our social media activity. ------------------------------------------- Laura Davis AIA Vice President, Director of Marketing HPD Architecture Dallas TX -------------------------------------------
