    Eric;

    I don't know what to tell you. He is sending a demo copy of V.15 for us to play with. The last version we could really turn things out in was 11. Could he mean that the program will create the entities, but will not track them in the database? According to the rep, there are a long list of items that are not tracked in the database, including anything that you custom draw. Has that been your experience? The gentleman who did the middle presentation on Revit in Friday's CRAN webcast, said he had the same problem with not being able to have the software track anything that was an angled face on a piece of moulding. We were beta testers on the original version of Revit, before Autodesk bought them. You could see how, on  particular kinds of work, the software had great promise. In a way, that was a problem because it was so easy to do what the software did well, that I was discouraged from trying to accomplish what it did poorly. I am amazed that a program like Archicadd has no "Extrude" tool- you still have to enter the values numerically. The rep says they know that tool is important but are not going to get around to it in the next version, and not in the foreseeable future- I find that very disruptive while working. All that said, I'm looking for a project now that appears to stay pretty much completely on the Archicad map. I think that the software may do well there.

    Thanks,
    Ray Strang
