Washington Post Home Section Editor, is looking to speak to an architect about secondary structures in residential districts - anything from a yoga studio to home office to guest cottage. He wants to talk to an expert about some of the considerations involved, such things as:
* When is it feasible to convert an existing outbuilding, and when not
* What factors make such a project less expensive and hassle free, with minimal local govt involvement (I suspect building size, height, setback, etc.)
* What tends to drive up the cost
* What effect has the recession had on this small project marketplace.
He is on a very short deadline, which is tomorrow (6.8).
