CRAN Steering Committee: Request for Submissions for sessions to 2012 AIA Convention in Washington DC. Since recently becoming our own Knowledge Community CRAN is stepping up their activity in bringing relevant and quality content to the custom single family residential architect. For the past five years the CRAN Committee has structured and grown the number of sessions each year at Convention with the goal of giving residential architects a reason to participate in their national convention. We now want to open up the possibility for submitting a session to everyone practicing residential architecture and really grow that content and in turn demonstrate to the National leadership we are relevant. If you would like to submit a session, or know of someone who would be appropriate to provide a session, please reply to this posting. The Committee will review requests, in order to avoid duplication and try to assure quality of content. Do not feel intimidated by the process, we have several Committee members who can help guide you through the process, which is not overly cumbersome. Since this is our first attempt at opening this up we do not know what numbers of responses we will get but we will do our best to respond to all requests. It is also not guaranteed that all submission will be accepted given that the final selection process is not made by our Committee. Deadlines for initial ideas and abstracts, which are submitted electronically, is July 1, 2011.

Keep in mind all content, for any Knowledge Community, comes from its membership. Their is no AIA staff whose duty it is to generate content, in the form of Sessions, for any constituency, so please become involved!
