Brenda - We've been using DataCad since 1995 +/-, through a variety of upgrades, on 3 to 6 Windows-based stations networked with several HP plotters. We've chosen upgrades when we've felt the additional features to be worthwhile with great success and economy. We generate 2D and 3D design drawings, in conjunction with Photoshop on occasion, and highly detailed architectural & MPE Construction Documents. We've had no issues with receiving AutoCAD files from surveyors and assorted sprinkler & alarm system companies and exchange files easily as needed. Their support has always been exemplary. The appearance, readability and quality of the finished product is, I believe, superior and a real bargain. While they've transition away from program discs and "keys" to online connections and updates, this has not been an issues in the slightest.
