I'm interested in learning which websites architects use the most to source products and materials. Can you list two or three?

Hi Rob,
David Andreozzi, I hope things are well. Personally, I use google for everything. I know thats not what you are looking for, but that's the truth. THe only exception would be a jump over to Traditional Bulding's site for historic resources.

Rob,
Like David mentioned before, google would be first, second would probably be www.sweets.com (products.construction.com/), and the best site hands down for green product info is www.buildinggreen.com, also know as Enviriomental Building News. They review each of the projects they post and do articles on all things green. Great website and the best part is that do not accept advertising like consumer reports.
Hope That helps.

How would a manufacturer of a product get to the high end residential architect? Specifically a {EDIT} that can integrate with home automation.

Corinne, I have edited your post, it borders on spam. You need to find a way to advertise, this dialog is certainly not it. You could contact us at AIA/CRAN and look to sponsorship oppertunities, or perhaps think about a booth at the AIA show.

Rob:
One the newest and best I have been using is BMPselect.com. The depth of the
search engine has been extensive and the links seem to work unlike ARCAT.com,
ReedSource.com or Sweets.com. Thanks for sharing your question!
