I have spent an interesting day researching sources for a grey black-flecked medium-grained granite stone; quarry source and cutting. This is to replace a missing stone on an existing small veterans monument. I would be happy to share my rough notes with anyone who is interested, in exchange for your comments and further suggestions. My effort today has been focused on the New England area.
