Attached are two views of a prefabricated building that was built by the CAA in the early 1950s at the Grants-Milan Airport. The CAA was later absorbed into the FAA. The building is typical of several that are still extant at several small rural airports in New Mexico. But I suspect they were built throughout the US at other small airports. The building's walls and roof are pre-manufactured steel framing with fiberboard infill wall panels and roof. The windows are steel casements. The floor is conventional wood framing. I would like to know the manufacturer and more details about the construction of these buildings. I an aware of the buildings in only the aviation context, but suspect the same system could have been used for other buildings. Please let me know if you have any information of this building construction system.
