The Role of Green Preservation in Creating and Maintaining Sustainable Communities West Coast Symposium, November 13, 2012
EPA Regions 5 and 9 have joined efforts to organize the final symposium in the Green Preservation series. The West Coast Symposium will focus on making the environmental, economic and social cases for building re-use. Discussions will cover many topics including climate change, material toxicity, job training, incentives, rating systems, transportation and high-speed rail, and the role of smart growth as a means to retaining culture, vitality and identity in sustainable, livable communities.
