On Wednesday, April 18, 2012 in Cincinnati, OH, CURT will host its best practices workshop on capital project delivery - http://www.curt.org/Events-Workshops.aspx

The purpose of this session is to offer support for both experienced and novices in their constant challenge to maximize efficiency and productivity in capital project delivery. Through the experiences of those who have implemented programs on existing projects and for specific new projects, participants will learn about the principles, pitfalls and suggestions for improvement from those who have learned through direct engagement in initiating change. The workshop is formatted to permit all attendees to actively participate and to engage in interactive discussions with others facing the challenges of doing more with fewer resources.

    Topics to be covered include:

    1. How to respond to U.S. and global challenges to effective capital projects.
    2. How new technologies create solutions and make capital projects more cost effective for owners
    3. How energy market turmoil will impact U.S. and global project execution
    4. How to maintain safety and quality standards with fewer staff.
