Replying to Alan Rudy
Are there really buildings that work well and do not look good. It seems to me that most buildings have as a part of their program that they look good (except maybe prisons). I'd like some specific examples.
But, maybe more importantly, well, if a building "works well" but doesn't "look good", well, maybe we can agree that excellence in architecture requires both working well and looking good?
Of course, we still have the problem of agreeing on what looks good.
