On behalf of the organisers I'm posting this clarification concerning the cost structure of the previously posted tour to Copenhagen.

"The AIA Tour to Copenhagen and the Design Week is in fact 100% free. As described in the invitation the participants are responsible for arranging and covering hotel, airfare and meals outside what may be offered in the special events.  The responsibility also include the $200 for the Welcome Dinner Gala, which covers costs for food and wine 1:1. In the event that a participant does not wish to join everyone else for the Gala, that person will be able to have the $200 refunded at the end of the tour, provided they let us know via e-mail at least a week before the Gala Dinner is to take place. We are simply using the Dinner Gala cover as an instrument for managing the sign-on process. Naturally we hope everyone will want to take part in the Gala Dinner, not least because it will take place in a top restaurant, but also because it will be fun having everyone meet together.

We hope this clarification is of use and we would like to stress once more that that there are no hidden fees or surprise costs associated with participating. We trust this may ease any concerns the AIA members might have about participating.
