One of AIA Dallas' bright spots over the past few summers has been the annual North Texas Sustainable Showcase.  www.ntxsustainableshowcase.com  AIA Dallas COTE has established a tradition of hand-selecting speakers that further the pursuit of building the intellectual bridge between green design and design excellence.  Past speakers have included partners from Kieran Timberlake, Lake Flato, Bercy + Chen, Zimmer Gunsul + Frasca, Mahlum, Pugh + Scarpa, Marlon Blackwell and Rockhill + Associates, to name a few.

Be sure to join us this year.  Thursday, July 14th will feature an afternoon slate of green building presentations and Thom Mayne as the evening keynote speaker.  In addition, the local USGBC and CSI chapters have organized a series of presentations that focus on the details of sustainable design.  Each course will earn both AIA and GBCI credits.  (13 hours possible)

On Friday, July 15th enjoy an exhibition hall with a view of downtown Dallas and mOrphosis' Perot Museum of Nature and Science from the 17th floor of Granite Properties' new 17Seventeen McKinney Avenue office building. (LEED Gold)  There will be a rare opportunity to meet with GBCI reviewers to have a live conversation about your LEED projects in addition to a full day of presentations.

Saturday, July 16th features an opportunity for a hard-hat tour of the Perot Museum of Nature and Science.

Be sure to join us, it promises to be a good time.
