An Editorial Director's Note in the front of the October 2012 issue of "Qualified Remodeler" published by Cygnus Business Media written by Rob Heselbarth explained an architect's role in a way he hadn't heard before.
Mr. Heselbarth explains that many remodelers believe that architects exist to make their life miserable. "Truth is, architects exist to make sure a client's vision becomes reality. If this is your (remodelers) goal, too, then architects should be some of your best friends."
He explains how some remodelers may take a quick look at architect's plans before they start the project and think they know exactly what the client wants. But as the project progresses the client's visions are lost, ending in an unpleasant experience.
Rob explains how teaming with an architect can be a win-win proposition for everyone. "Architect don't want to cause problems; they want to solve problems."
Thanks for the encouraging words, Mr. Heselbarth.
