Question: Why haven't we heard about this?

"London Aquatic Center, by Zaha Hadid's ceiling swoops down so low over the pool that spectators in the upper seats can't see the high divers leapfrom their platform. How typical of modern architecture. The building does not work? Who cares! Functionality would be too bourgeois for the likes of Lady Ha-Ha"

Because we don't prioritize and celebrate the process of designing good architect. Rather it is about sculptures and starchitects.

    Stop celebrating the Architect,

    Stop celebrating the Architecture,

Start celebrating the process and value of creating Architecture.

------------------------------------------- Donald Duffy AIA Don Duffy Architecture Charlotte NC ------------------------------------------- David, your are so right. Some of the cameras shots have shown parents struggling to see the event from the nose bleed section. One shot looked like the spectator had reach up push the ceiling out of the way. I thought maybe something had let go form the ceiling. Never crossed my mind it was award winning architecture. I can not believe I did see it as design feature.
