My name is Leonardo Faingold, I'm an argentine architect with a long experience in home development here in Argentina, and for a short period in the USA. For years I devoted myself to the development of new ideas in order to recover a normal demand – supply home development market in Argentina. The growing depth of the successive crisis led me to each time more complex proposals that exceded the strict architectural and constructive fields, and ended questioning the very principles of the system and its organizational structures.
Those proposals, although build upon Argentina's data, are of universal application, even for developed markets as the USA and EC, and may become a response to the current crisis
As we all know every crisis means an opportunity, and this deep and persistent crisis is an enormous opportunity to bring about changes that would otherwise be impossible to raise. Problems that in my opinion go far beyond a malpractice in banking regulations, but can find responses in a new approach to urban development.
In this sense, I would like to ask you if there is any AIA members working under similar premises, so we can interchange experiences, in order to bring
this ideas into practice.
Thank you
