We work on both Autocad and Vectorworks in our office. Often times we will start a project in Vectorworks because it is so easy to do presentation drawings and 3-d modeling in Vectorworks. When we go into CDs, sometimes we convert over to Autocad with ease for the duration of the project. However, sharing drawings between Vectorworks and Autocad does not work well. In our experience, files become slow, hatches do not translate well, and text appears different.
