I loved the post from David Ludwig....well said.
I guess I did not see that my comments would become a lightning rod for so many. I hope that everyone here is on the same side...to propel the profession forward in such a way that all who want to be a part of it, in whatever form that takes, are welcomed, and not shunned. Words of welcome, not words of exclusion.
Seems the only ones invited to the party are those with a license. Sad.
In reference to the NCARB mention, I have mis-spoken, and I would like to clarify it is the NCARB IDP certificate that shows completion of training to allow for the ARE exams. Hope that helps.
Jason, sorry I do not remember you, but I do want to commend you on the success of your own firm. Your website looks great, and I am impressed with your portfolio of work. Well done indeed. I also appreciate your cheering me on to complete the ARE's. Nice to see the support. I will manage that when life's great circumstances permits it. Everyone takes their own path in life.
Kathryn, I loved your post as well. Good Stuff. We are all designers at heart.
As I have said in my other postings, I wish you all well in your pursuits. It is a challenging time for the profession.
PEACE,
-Tom
