I've drafted an essay using the old-world precedent of Venice, with its unique auto-free urban environment, as a study tool for evident parameters that make its neighborhood squares so successful. The thesis was to postulate applications of these parameters that would benefit new-world situations. I'd like to see this published, but it tends to fall in between the missions of scholarly journals and the popular press. Any thoughts on publication venues readers might suggest would be most appreciated. The piece is 5000 words with original line illustrations.
