Synopsis:
In addressing the demands of a diverse and inclusive profession, we need to design and build an educational system promoting the value of design in shaping communities and
enabling these communities to recognize the career path available in architecture and design to produce the desired quality of life. The Diversity Council webinar series "Designing a
Diverse, Inclusive Profession through the Development of Architecture and Design Community Schools" will provide valuable insight in delivering on the promise to be a diverse and
inclusive profession fulfilling the AIA's commitment to reflect the character of the community its members serve.
Learning Objectives:
Gain an understanding of the visioning and value proposition in producing architecture and design schools within the local community.
Learn how to build the team required to produce the program.
Identify the resources and requirements needed to develop the program.
Understand the time frame in which the program is developed.
Recognize the role of a board in setting goals, responsibilities and providing leadership.
