In response to questions asked about appointment to the CAFM Advisory Group:
The CAFM Knowledge Community Advisory Group sets the criteria for new appointments. We are looking for candidates with experience in the corporate and facility management field; non-traditional practice. Candidates must be registered architects and members of AIA interested in helping to disseminate information to our peer group. Currently, time commitment includes participating in 90-minute conference calls once each month and execution of individual assigned tasks, such as preparation of material for the CAFM newsletter or communication with allied agencies. Selection of new candidates will be made by 3 members of the current CAFM AG. We will be looking for diversity of candidate location, experience, and expertise as well as the expressed desire to serve our peer group. Except for the AG chair, there is no required travel. However, the AG does attempt to convene at least once each year at Grassroots or the annual national convention. At this time, AIA does not compensate AG members' expenses except for those of the chair when attending the annual Grassroots conference and KC Leadership Assembly. -------------------------------------------
