On October 21, 2025, 8 advisory group members of the AIA Housing and Community Development Knowledge Community (HCD) joined leaders at the AIA Housing Summit in Washington, DC, hosted by AIA President Evelyn Lee. The Summit brought together AIA National Leadership, senior leaders from approximately 20 national housing organizations, volunteer leaders, and AIA staff to advance coordinated housing advocacy and action within the AIA and beyond.

The mission of the Building Performance Knowledge Community (BPKC) is to increase the understanding of building science and performance and its role in the design process, as it relates to the ability of architects to positively impact equitable access to occupant health and comfort, as well as the function, durability, sustainability, and resilience of buildings.

All AAJ members are invited to attend the first All-Member Meeting of 2026 on Thursday, January 15th, from 3:00-4:00 pm ET.
