Anne was educated in architecture at Columbia University and at SCI-Arc where she earned a Master of Architecture degree. Her career in architecture started in the office of Eric Owen Moss and she later co-founded Sparano + Mooney Architecture, an internationally recognized practice known for its research-based conceptual approach to architecture. The firm has commissions ranging from residential and multi-use housing developments, cultural and community centers, transit and public works projects, and recreation and religious facilities. Her award-winning work has been featured in numerous books and publications including the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Dwell, A+U, World Architecture, Aspire, Bauwelt, The Plan, Surface, Mountain Living, Architecture California, and LA Architect. The firm has won design awards from the American Institute of Architects, the Los Angeles Business Council and the Los Angeles Cultural Affairs Commission.
