I am an architect licensed in Colombia by CPNAA and proud to be an International Associate of the AIA. Over the past ten years, I’ve immersed myself in the world of design, project management, and leadership, working across diverse scales and settings. From shaping government-funded initiatives to crafting private residences, offices, schools, and urban spaces, I’ve had the privilege of contributing to projects that redefine how we live, work, and interact with our environments.
Currently, I serve as the Senior Manager of Resilience and Climate Adaptation at the American Institute of Architects. In this role, I lead efforts to empower architects with the tools and knowledge to embed resilience and climate adaptation into their designs, transforming challenges into opportunities for innovation and impact.
Sustainability is at the heart of everything I do. My approach blends the wisdom of traditional Colombian vernacular architecture with the possibilities offered by modern building technologies and passive design principles. This philosophy has guided my work, including investigations into affordable and climate-resilient building solutions for the Colombian government and private clients. I am passionate about creating designs that foster a harmonious relationship between humanity and the natural world, addressing the pressing realities of climate change while respecting cultural heritage.
My academic foundation includes a professional Bachelor’s in Architecture with a concentration in Habitat from the National University of Colombia and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Bioclimatic Architecture from Piloto University of Colombia. These experiences have deeply shaped my commitment to sustainability and innovation, fueling my drive to design spaces that inspire, endure, and heal.
