The summer reading list below was in a recent post by Sightline Institute and wondered if anyone might share something that they've recently read (the book I'd suggest if you can find it, is "platform MIDDLE: Architecture for Housing the 99%" by 5468796 Architecture).

Regeneration: Ending the Climate Crisis in One Generation is inspiring!

Hospicing Modernity is at once deeply unsettling and caring. It invites the reader to see how the project of colonization and modernity resurface in our efforts to address the problems that we see and what another approach might look like: not to fix or overcome modernity, but to learn what we can from it, help it to die a good death, and be doulas for what comes next.

A Sand County Almanac is my standby whenever I need renewal or reinforcement of my belief in the importance of seeing the world from an ecological viewpoint.

Everyone Who Is Gone Is Here describes/explores the historical and ongoing immigration crisis involving Central America (Honduras, Guatemala, Nicaragua, and El Salvador) and the United States since the 1980s, focusing on policy, economics, and personal relationships. Made me realize that the topic is multi-layered and difficult.

How Not to Be Wrong: The Power of Mathematical Thinking offers numerical insight into everyday life and logic with wit and left field, yet relevant, examples. An engaging read for those who appreciate and are intrigued by math, even if not regular users.

About Sightline: Since 1993, Sightline Institute has been the independent, nonpartisan think tank for Cascadia-from the Rockies to the Pacific and from Alaska to Oregon.
