The 2024 NAC Climate Action Work Group created this resource to produce an Associate-friendly explanation of the concepts contained within the AIA Framework for Design Excellence. Each member of the work group chose a section of the Framework, defined the core ideas in that section, and associated the concept to a real world example. Our hope is that the NAC F4DE Guide will serve as an introduction to the Framework and be a tool for emerging professionals to advocate not only for sustainable design principles, but also to advocate for themselves as leaders in their workplaces.
