AIA National is joining the National Low-Income Housing Coalition's (NLIHC) Opportunity Starts at Home campaign to advance equitable and healthy affordable housing policies. The Opportunity Starts at Home campaign is focused on federal advocacy that broadly aligns with AIA's Policy Platform, with a mission to, "Build a movement with stakeholders from many sectors to generate widespread support for federal policies that correct long-standing racial inequities and economic injustices by ensuring quality housing for people with low incomes." As a participating member, AIA Federal Relations staff will join regular quarterly campaign coalition meetings, as well as any relevant ad-hoc meetings scheduled during timely opportunities to advance positive federal housing policies.
