On June 5th at 1130 AM the AIA Historic resources committee will host its annual program and lunch at the landmark McKim Mead and White Boston Public Library. This program will feature the Library's President David Leonard, and MIT professor John Ochsendorf, an authority on Guastavino vaulting--the structural system innovation that defines so many American landmarks of that period. The program is open to all conference participants, and listed on the AIA Conference website-- David Leonard will be speaking to the future renewal of the McKim Building, and its role as both landmark and civic magnet for education and community engagement. Its a busy conference but I hope this program will also make it an exceptionally inspiring one!
