APA National Conference session: What's Next for Urban Planning Technology

On Tuesday, April 12th, I presented with Chris Haller of Urban Interactive Studio and Ben Berkowitz of See Click Fix on the topic of emerging technologies for urban planning. We know how tiring conferences can get, so we pitched the idea of presenting 10 types of technology tools and had the audience text their vote on each one. We had a packed house, amazing turnout for one of the last sessions of the conference. I think approximately 15 to 20 people actually participated in the voting feature perhaps more at the beginning of the session. It was a fun way to have two way communication during the session. We used Text the Mob developed by Chris. He has invited AIA TAP to use it during the May 11th Revolution if we desire (thanks Chris!). I'll have to coordinate with the AG to see if two way communication or session voting is of interest.
