São Paulo, Brasilia, and Rio de Janiero

Join us in Brazil, from October 17-26 2024, for our first International Conference on Design since 2019. We will visit three major Brazilian cities, São Paulo, Brasília, and Rio de Janeiro on this significant 200th Anniversary of bilateral relations between the US and Brazil.

Our 10-day study tour will offer an opportunity to engage in cultural exchange while exploring how different regions of the world develop place-based forms of design thinking that are catalyzed by their culture and empathy for society. Comparing Brazil to our experience at COD’s spring design conference in Northwest Arkansas, both regions bring differing degrees of private and public sector investment in design that benefits society and influences architecture and development across the globe.
