Design Excellence in 2011: The AIA Committee on Design Reception and Dinner

Join the AIA Committee on Design (COD) and our special guests – Fumihiko Maki, recipient of the 2011 Gold Medal; BNIM, 2011 Firm Award recipient; Honorary Fellows, Collaborative Achievement and Henry Cobb, FAIA, architect for the Twenty-five Year Award  – for a festive evening to celebrate the design achievements of these honored individuals. Central to the Committee on Design’s mission of promoting architectural design excellence in the United States and abroad, these awards are annually nominated and promoted by COD.

Held at Calcasieu, 930 Tchoupitoulas Street,  the James Beard Award winning Chef Donald Link's latest addition to his family of restaurants in the Warehouse District. Conveniently located just two blocks from the Convention Center, the private dining facility delivers modern design within a New Orleans warehouse setting. In the style of Chef Link's established restaurants Herbsaint and Cochon, Calcasieu showcases contemporary Louisiana cuisine, eclectic wines and excellent service. Appetizers, light dinner, beer and wine included. Cash bar available.
