The Traditional Building Conference Series comes to and features seminars for continuing education credits, networking and special events.

The next event takes place in , the fourth stop of the 2012 National Tour, November 7-8, 2012 at The Chicago History Museum.

"Building Well: Traditional Design, Materials and Methods" is the theme for this two-day design and construction industry event. Seminars will cover historic preservation, careful remodeling, and building new in traditional ways. The study of historic buildings teaches traditional climate response strategies and durable, sustainable building practice.

The cost to attend is $215 for two-days and $159 for a single day. Prices increase on November 1st as space is limited. Tuition includes breakfast and lunch on both days as well as a cocktail reception on November 7 and a guided tour of the Chicago History Museum on the afternoon of November 8.

The program features speakers who are outstanding leaders in the field of . Previous speakers have included award-winning architects, professors of architecture and nationally recognized craftsmen.
