And a 2027 AIA Call for Jurors and Awards #AskMeAnything call will be on Jun 2, 1 pm ET.  Register here.

    __

For those that attended the 2027 AIA Volunteer Opportunities interest call on May 27, 2026, you are welcome to join a special #AskMeAnything with the National Honors and Award Committee and Jury Development Task Force (only) on June 2nd. ---

Serving on an AIA Honors & Awards jury plays a vital role within AIA and the architecture profession to recognize individuals and projects exemplifying the best of the architecture community.

Successful jurors are those from early- to late- career with content expertise relevant to the associated award program, strong time management skills, who are highly communicative and collaborative with awards staff, who have a willingness to ask questions whenever clarification is needed, and the ability to allocate the necessary hours to equitably and thoroughly review submissions. Prior experience as a juror on a component or regional award program is helpful.

All jurors must be familiar with and able to evaluate applications toward AIA's Framework for Design Excellence principles. Most importantly, jurors are held to a high ethical standard of work to maintain the prestige and equity of the award programs, participating in bias awareness and reduction training, abiding by AIA conflict of interest policy, and adhering to a confidentiality nondisclosure agreement both during and after service on a jury.
